Get your thumbs ready... roll up the rim is back. I usually never go to Timmie's for coffee/tea/hot beverages because the lineups are always long. When they bring back the promise of potentially winning a doughnut or a car however, I will stand in line eagerly.
McDonald's is adding a bit of competition this time around by offering FREE coffee (no strings attached) all day long. They have done this before, but usually around breakfast hours (inconvenient) and de-caf wasn't available. From March 1-14, Mckey D's is giving you a free small coffee, de-caf or regular with no purchase necessary. Pretty good deal no?
The only problem now is that the line at McD's and Tim Hortons will be super long with people trying to cash into prizes or save their cash with free java. I know I will be more jittery than usual for the next two weeks taking advantage, I guess it's time to convert to the stereotype of the coffee-crazed journalism student.
