RIP Alexander McQueen

The fashion world is grieving at the loss of one of the most influential designers. I was utterly shocked to hear that Alexander McQueen, 40, committed suicide. He was under a lot of stress, and apparently lost his mother last week.

McQueen (with a little help from Lady Gaga) brought avant garde into mainstream fashion and his designs were delectable. Detailed, and exceptionally constructed, the couturier was in his own category. His pieces were modern works of art. (Who could forget the Armadillo toes?)

I can recall watching many of your shows on Fashion Television and remember being blown away every time. You are an inspiration to me, and I hope that your brand will continue to represent your unique vision on the world.
